World's Largest Open-Air Shopping Center Meets Waikiki's Every Retail Need

Shopping destination Ala Moana offers over 250 shops and 60 restaurants

Ala Moana Shopping Center is the world's largest open-air shopping center, and this extravaganza is by far Hawaii's largest mall. With the mall's over 250 shops and 60 restaurants to explore, you're certain to find one or two to monopolize your energy. The shopping center spans a whopping 50 acres on the edge of Waikiki, and boasts a unique mix of international chain stores and locally owned boutiques.

Anchor stores include Neiman Marcus, Macy's, Sears, and Shirokiya. Other luxurious temptations include A/X Armani Exchange, Tiffany & Co., Burberry, Hilo Hattie, Prada Sport, Baccarat, Chanel, DKNY and Max&CO.

Although there's high-end designer stores and mainstream department stores, Ala Moana mall also has a nice selection of smaller, locally owned surf shops, gifts shops and clothing stores.

A host of eateries and services is also available. Practical needs such as computer elements can be found at the Apple store and the new Windows store. Cosmetics, toiletries and other needs can be met at Longs Drugs.

The mall is set among lush landscaping and features koi ponds as well. 

To get to the mall from the heart of Waikiki, catch The Bus line 8, 19 or 20 for just $2.50 for a one-way ride. Another option is Waikiki Trolley's Pink Line for $2 each way. It comes through the area every 12 minutes.
