Nestled amongst green grass and coconut palm trees, Moloa'a Sunrise Fruit Stand is located roadside in lush Anahola and on the east side of Kauai. Established in 2003, Moloa'a Sunrise Fruit Stand offers salads, smoothies, sandwiches, coffee, juices, burritos and tacos, among other delicious - and always healthy - items.
Many of the ingredients here are locally sourced and organic. You can take your meal on the go or enjoy it at an outdoor table. Although this place is called a fruit stand, the property is well kept with beautiful trees. It's more than a stand - it's a "real" building.

The family-run eatery offers vegetarian and dairy-free options, as well as traditional fare. Hot plates include paninis, tacos and burritos, which can be made with fish or veggies. Four different types of salads are available, as well as sandwiches and wraps. An abundance of fruit smoothies and smoothie bowls (with sliced banana and granola) are also on the menu.
The selection of fresh juices is not to be bypassed. Fresh sugar cane juice - pure or with added ginger and lime; fresh watermelon juice; and coconut water are all on the menu. These offer the most refreshing answer to a hot Hawaiian day.
Vegetable juices include carrot and the Purple Sunset, made of carrot, beet, kale and ginger. These are also on the menu for a healthy boost. Breakfast fare includes a burrito and sandwich, as well as a French toast sandwich or two eggs. Bagels, milkshakes and healthy desserts can also be enjoyed.

Take a meal to go down the road to eat at Moloa'a Beach, where a modest river runs through the vast white sand beach. The fruit stand is on the way to the gorgeous North Shore, where travelers can visit the Kilauea Lighthouse before making their way to Hanalei Valley Lookout.
From there, descend down into Hanalei Valley, where the historic town offers up with unique shops and eateries to keep visitors entertained. North Shore beaches such as Ha'ena Beach and Hanalei Bay should be snorkeled and explored. But be careful during the winter months, when the surf is big.
Moloa'a Sunrise Fruit Stand is located at 6011 Kuhio Highway between mile markers 16 and 17, north of Anahola on Kauai. Hours include Monday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Offering an abundance of healthy meals on the menu, this fruit stand is one of those places that shouldn't be passed by.
