Good fun and great food can be had at Kaua`i's new Feral Pig Pub and Restaurant. Stepping up to serve the island as a new local favorite for food, music and drinks, the pub is owned and operated by a well known former bartender who worked at Honolulu's hottest spots. Nestled in the Anchor Cover Shopping Center at Kalapaki Beach, the eatery is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and features an awesome array of draft beers.

To keep up with Hawaii's venture towards a sustainable future, at the Feral Pig they use locally-sourced ingredients whenever possible and use Kauai grown vegetables, 100% Kauai ground beef and locally caught fish. Perhaps the biggest hit at the Feral Pig is the Feral Burger, an off-menu item that combines Kauai ground beef with ground, house-smoked pork shoulder, and then tops it with pork belly, caramelized onions and a secret aioli sauce which comes either as sliders or as a full sandwich. In addition, a not to miss sandwich is the pork belly banh mi, where the pate is full and flavorful and the pickles help cut through all the richness.

On Thursday night live music is always featured and a late night menu begins at 9 p.m. The atmosphere is casual no matter the time of day, but hey, why not dress up a bit for a night out on Lihue town.
