Scoring a Hotel Near Chicago's United Center is a Slam Dunk



Chicago’s United Center is home to both the Chicago Bulls of the National Basketball Association and the Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League as well as countless performances from musical concerts to circus acts. If you’re heading there for a game or show and need hotel accommodations, set your sights toward downtown Chicago which is just three short miles from the popular venue.

Closer to Willis Tower and a easy shot up west toward the United Center are the historic Palmer House Hilton, JW Marriott Chicago and W Chicago - City Center. The Blackstone Renaissance Hotel on Michigan Avenue is nearby, too.

Other options include hotels near the Theater District such as trendy theWit and Hotel Allegro. The Holiday Inn Mart Plaza, just across the Chicago River, is an affordable option with stunning skyline views.

Across the Kennedy Expressway and west of the Loop (and closer to the United Center) is the recently updated and contemporary Crowne Plaza Chicago – The Metro within the Greektown neighborhood. The Chicago Marriott at Medical District/UIC is a little more off the beaten path since it primarily serves the medical district community but it’s another affordable option for those who want something as close to the United Center as possible.

The Cadillac Palace Theater is adjacent to the Hotel Allegro Chicago - a Kimpton Hotel, which is approximately six blocks from the Magnificent Mile. TheWit, a Doubletree Hotel, is located just blocks from Millennium Park and the Chicago Harbor. The sexy hotel attracts the fashionable set which flock to the ROOF, it's popular rooftop lounge that gets packed during happy hour until closing time. It's conveniently located next to the Red Line on the subway system, with easy access to Wrigley Field and other attractions. Guests loved the spa and yoga studio. They also appreciated the large soaking tubs in every room, as well as the large LCD televisions and complimentary cookies. Parking on the same block but not with the hotel as it's expensive to leave your car with the hotel. Touch screen phones in every room provide guests with direct access to the different service staffs.
