Since every sports bar is serving its own rendition of tacos, why not go all-in at this agave and whiskey-focused, Tex-Mex sports bar in Logan Square.
Referencing what was once another name for Milwaukee Avenue, The Old Plank has plenty of televisions for game day viewing from booths, high and low top tables, and barstools. Executive Chef Jesus Castillo and Chef de Cuisine Juan Ramirez offer authentic Tex-Mex flavors among the menu items: homemade chips, salsa and guacamole; roasted corn sprinkled with Cotija, cream, cilantro and house seasoning; tacos stuffed with smoked brisket; tempura Baja shrimp; Asada; fried avocado or mushrooms. But that's not all! There are sandwiches, salads, plates of chicken and waffles, breakfast tacos and a couple of desserts.
Complement with agave and whiskey cocktails, frozen drinks, shots and suds from 16 taps of local brews. Alfresco dining will keep your head clear.
