Plenty of sports fans come simply for the 90-plus beers on tap at the Old Town Pour House. There is a rotating roster of regional, national and global brews from small producers, after all. But the huge flat-screen TVs and dark wood interiors lending an old-fashioned pub vibe are also a part of the charm.
Complementing one of the biggest and best beer lists in Chicago, the grub menu has surprising options. You can get your pretzel bites, half-pound burgers and cheese curds but also duck nachos, forest mushroom flatbread, Gochujang braised short rib tacos and pan-seared red grouper. There's also a hearty brunch served until 3 pm every Saturday and Sunday, perfect for college and professional football games. Don't miss The 20-oz. Churchill Bloody Mary with house-made bloody mix and a skewer bearing grilled shrimp, cubed pepper jack, cornichon, cherry tomato, Gibson cocktail onion and a Slim Jim stir stick.
