8 Seconds Saloon

If you're looking to shake your honky-tonk badonkadonk in Indianapolis, pull on your dancin' boots and head to 8 Seconds Saloon. Set in an old warehouse, the club houses an enormous dance floor where line dancers strut their stuff in between trips to the bar for amazingly cheap drinks. Biweekly dance lessons enable newbies to perfect their shuffle step, while Friday night concerts showcase such star-quality performers as Toby Keith, Jason Aldean and Keith Urban.

Stables

For a night of countrified cavorting in one of Indy's most traditional country western bars, don your Stetson and head to Stables. This spacious venue offers two bars, several pool tables, fantastic country music concerts and a huge dance floor where patrons do the Boot Scootin' Boogie and Cotton-Eyed Joe 'til the cows come home...or the club closes. If you don't know a chasse from a lock step, check the club's calendar for dance lessons.

Greg's

It's friendly, it's charming, it's high-energy and it's packed: it's country dance night at Greg's. The first two Fridays of every month, this beloved gay bar and nightclub transforms into a hoppin' hoedown with free dance lessons starting at 9pm. Spectacular drink specials are a constant at Greg's, so throw back a couple “shots of the month” and get down to the do-si-do as a state-of-the-art sound system fills the bar with crystal clear twang.

Booze, burgers and bull riding make for an unforgettable night of country-style partying at Cadillac Ranch in downtown Indianapolis. In the evening, patrons savor delectable dinners of sizzling steak and soul-satisfying barbecue paired with fantastic drink specials, including $1 draft beer on Thursdays. Feel free to indulge in dessert, as well, because soon you'll be working it off while breaking it down on the dance floor and, of course, showing the mechanical bull who's boss.
