When you visit a new city, it can become all too easy to fall into the tourist trap of eating in convenient restaurants that are overpriced and fall short of expectations. If you’re traveling on a budget, there can be nothing more disappointing than shelling out for a poor meal. If you want great quality cuisine at affordable prices, and with the added plus of BYOB without corkage, then it has to be Dublin's Keshk Café.

Located just outside of the city centre and overlooking the Grand Canal, Keshk is a Middle Eastern/Egyptian restaurant that offers delicious, hearty portions and incredibly reasonable prices. You’ll find a great variety of chicken, lamb and beef dishes as well as fish choices that include a great Catch of the Day option. There's also a broad range of starters, and if you’re finding it hard to choose, there is plenty of opportunity to share and swap these little bites. In fact, if you were to order a few you could have a great, varied meal.
The Baba Ganouj here also deserves a special mention for sheer moreish-ness. If you’ve never experienced this Middle Eastern delicacy, then make sure to put it on your to-do list. Top this off with some delicious, sweet baklava and the added sweetness of your store-bought alcohol and you’ll definitely be a satisfied customer.
