The Marker Hotel is the latest emblem of luxury to pop up in Dublin’s Grand Canal Basin. This area is a hub of digital innovation and large-scale corporate firms, and The Marker reflects this vibe with its sleek, modern design.
Calling itself an "urban retreat," The Marker includes 187 rooms that feature shampoos and products from Malin & Goetz of Chelsea, New York. It seems that The Marker is keen to inject an element of "The Big Apple" into the space, as they recently introduced the "cronut" to Irish diners, the croissant-cum-donut craze that has been sweeping the state

Take to the spa, and you’ll find a 23-meter infinity pool and a giant Jacuzzi to relax in. Spa treatments are available for single treatments and couple's spa therapy. The facials reflect the opulence The Marker seeks to exude: bag yourself a caviar facial if you’re feeling particularly flashy. Meanwhile, mums-to-be will enjoy the maternity treatments, including massages, "tummy facials" and foot and leg soaks.

Once you’ve truly relaxed, try and grab a table on the rooftop bar: it’s the signature draw of The Marker. Take a seat right by the glass-fenced balcony and catch views ranging from the Dublin mountains all around Dublin Bay. It’s breathtaking when the sun has decided to shine on you, and well worth the wait. The bar bites and cocktail list are also exceptional. Opt for the chorizo and a blood orange mojito if you get the chance.
