Antica Torre di Via Tornabuoni is a truly distinctive hotel located on the top floors of a converted 13th-century tower. An elegant stay in Florence, it is across the street from the famous Ferragamo boutique and museum. This property was once known as Palazzo Gianfigliazzi, which belonged to the Gianfigliazzi family until the end of the 18th century. At the beginning of the 20th century this historic palace was called Piccioli Guesthouse and was a popular residence for English aristocrats and scholars who came to Florence for inspiration.
After World War II, the Picciolo Guesthouse closed and in 2001 it reopened with the name Antica Torre, and later in 2008 became Palazzo Gianfigliazzi. The palace has undergone many renovations that have essentially revitalized it. Guests of Antica Torre are held in the highest regard, resulting in impeccable service. The hotel offers gorgeous terraces where you can see Florence and the surrounding hills of Tuscany. The rooms are decorated with modern amenities, and yet they still invoke the historic character of the site. Picturesque, elegant and warm, Antica Torre offers comfortable bedrooms with the opportunity to see how noble Florentines lived in Florence.

The breakfast buffet is served on the fantastic terrace during the summer months. Eating a traditional Italian or English breakfast while overlooking the Florentine rooftops is quite an experience. Other services offered to guests include personal guided tours in Florence and excursions around Tuscany, free Wi-Fi access throughout the hotel, and the staff is happy to reserve tickets for the famous museums in Florence as well.
