An archeological museum with an amazing collection of Etruscan, Egyptian and Greek art. There are many exhibits that explain the evolution of life throughout these cultures. Tombs with mummies, hieroglyphics, and statues make up the assortment of Egyptian art. There is Greek pottery and many interesting Etruscan pieces including decorated urns, sculptures and jewelry. It was founded by Paolo Mantegazza in 1869 with the hopes of exposing the diversity of humans; physical and cultural. From 1922 to 1934 it was moved to Palazzo Nonfinito where it is still is today. There are a total of 10,000 objects illustrating the habits and customs of the peoples.
