This venue has been a restaurant for almost 150 years and is owned and run by a father-daughter pair who are dedicated to serving traditional Roman and Jewish cuisine. The wood-panelled interior of the 19th century building is still decorated with frescoes from that time period. Piperno is famous for its carciofi alla giudia, or fried whole artichokes. You can accompany pasta soup with chickpeas, fillet of salt cod, or any delicious pasta dish. Makes for a great evening out, Roman-style. Reservations recommended. BUS: 23
