One of the hottest nightclubs in Rome has inaugurated its new aperitivo hour. Shari Vari Playhouse, the 'It' girl on the Eternal City's nightlife scene, is now adding happy hour to its resumé. Why wouldn't they? It's already the most happening club around town, and if it can close in on the pre-party niche, even better.

Around town, there's fierce competition when it comes to which aperitivo spot is better than the other. Fluid, Firned, Freni e Frizioni and Salotto 42 have long been major contenders on the happy hour scene. But now, with Shari Vari Playhouse's 'Giovedi Groovy' (Groovy Thursdays), the Italian happy hour just got even more interesting.

What sets Shari Vari's new aperitivo apart from the rest is the live DJ set playing in the background while you munch on all of those delicious finger foods that you get with the price of a drink. There's also a funky vintage market going on inside the club while you dance to the beats of electro-funk music and dabble with your food. The happy hour starts at 7:30pm and runs until 10pm at night. Call ahead to put yourself on the guest list.
