Retro shades make a comeback in Rome — Photo courtesy of molly_darlingEver wondered what it was like to stroll down the glamorous Via Veneto like a star during the Dolce Vita days in Rome? Well, there's a new store called DolceRoma, near the Pantheon, that promises to let you relive those retro days by wearing a pair of their sleek, retro shades. DolceRoma is a new sunglass and eyewear store that is dedicated to bringing back that beloved Dolce Vita style worn by great stars such as Audrey Hepburn and Ava Gardner.

The new store opened in March 2012, and it's strategically positioned on the busy Corso Vittorio Emanuele II street in the Largo Argentina area (just a stone's throw away from the Pantheon). Sunglasses featured in the store will portray a 50s, 60s and 70s style of Mamma Roma (some are even decked out with Swarovski crystals). The glasses are, of course, made in Italy and intricately hand-crafted.
