They call themselves the 'romantic garden' of Rome and upon entering, it's not hard to understand why. The light, the soft sound of the water feature and the green garden wall combine to make the Hotel Hassler's Palm Court an oasis in the very center of Rome. Open to the public and not just hotel guests, the restaurant and bar runs from 7:00am until late with an all-day dining format. Michelin-starred chef Francesco Apreda runs the menu show across the hotel and the dishes here range from the roman classics like amatriciana and stuffed and fried zucchini flowers to gourmet plates like amberjack tartare with peaches and sparkling wine or caviar and blinis to the hotel classics with a gourmet twist - like burgers and the timeless club sandwich. Together with his assistant chef Marcello Romano, Apreda has devised a well balanced offering showcasing the best of international, Italian regional and local ingredients. Renowned Italian pastry chef Dario Nuti serves up sugar creations that resemble works of art including a coconut and blueberry yoghurt sphere, his version of the tiramisu` and a selection of homemade gelato and sorbets. It's the perfect setting for any time of day - lunch, a romantic dinner or a drink and live piano music plays from 7:00pm daily.
