In Rome's affluent Parioli neighbourhood, it would seem we have a case of: old dog, new tricks! Enoteca Bulzoni has been selling wine since the 1920s, so aren't new on the block by any stretch. But they've just had a stylish refurbishment and you can now sit and dine within their floor to ceiling wine display! The dining menu which boasts a selection and showcase of local and regional produce sits within the extensive wine list which speaks to the vibe of dining 'in' an enoteca. The counter menu boasts a delectable and hearty selection of tapas, pintxos and cheese and charcuterie boards if you're looking for something light and then the full menu includes about 5 pasta dishes and 5 main courses, all seasonal of course and with produce from some renowned suppliers like Verrigni and Liberati meats. So, sit back and enjoy the plush interiors and let owners Alessandro and Riccardo guide you to find the perfect wine and food to match. It was their grandfather Emidio Bulzoni who opened what was initially a wine and olive oil seller in 1929 and these third generation entrepreneurs have honoured his focus on quality and proudly wear the family legacy like a badge. Open Monday to Saturday from 10am through to midnight.
