Vine & Dine

What started as a retail wine and cheese shop is now a full-bore wine bar & bistro. Vine & Dine is located on Algiers Point, a quick ferry ride over the Mississippi from the French Quarter. It boasts of being a quiet, old-world type of establishment for escaping the hustle and bustle and enjoying some succulent palette-pleasers. They serve up some delicious cheese plates, antipastis and topped Focaccia samplers. Wine is served by the glass/carafe, and a good selection of beers are on hand as well. The place is very small, good for romantic dates, not dinner parties. They could possibly be the best kept secret in Algiers.
