Do you love New Orleans style? Is Martha Stewart (still) your hero? Do you get goosebumps at the very thought of organizing a closet?
If this profile sounds familiar, then you'll love At Home, a privately held, Texas-owned home goods store with a new location off I-10 by the Louis Armstrong International Airport.
Just remember: When you visit At Home, it's best to show up with a strategy.

Situated on West Esplanade off of Williams Boulevard, At Home opened its first Louisiana location in 2015 during a period of galloping expansion. At last count, there were more than 90 locations in 26 states, and the Plano-based company has no plans to slow down.
The vast numbers of brightly colored throw pillows, occasional chairs, seasonal bits and tableware can be a bit daunting. And no wonder: you can expect to peruse some 50,000 unique items across broad product categories, including furniture, garden, home textiles, housewares, patio, rugs, seasonal decor, tablescaping and artwork.
Take a deep breath and focus.
The store boasts great signage aimed to point you in the right direction, like "Home Textiles," "Seasonal" or "Organizing."
The New Orleans location, like each of the At Home stores, offers a select amount of locally inspired designs. Here, that means you might see fleur-de-lys-festooned pillows or wall art. Or, come football season, you might discover black and gold accessories sure to inspire the Who Dat Nation.
For drive-in visitors with second homes or condos in New Orleans, this store is a treasure trove of partyware and entertaining doodads. From festive go-cups to swank plasticware for the well-dressed courtyard party, At Home delivers.
Thanks to its multi-store buying power, At Home goods are well priced, sometimes shockingly so. Marigny resident Sammye Levy recently scored big on some barbecue accessories for her daughter-in-law's birthday, fun stuff you just don't see everywhere.
"I like that there are so many options under one roof," says Levy, who was on the hunt for some comfy addition to her creative Marigny courtyard. "I'm sure I'll find something," she said as she shopped on, a determined gleam in her eyes.
If you do get stymied, have a question or need some creative input, the manager here is crackerjack, a smart shopper with know-how and an easy smile.
She teaches her staff to be the same, so you aren't likely to wander aimlessly. There's always help at hand.
Need a dose of style in your life? No worries. At Home has style to spare.
