Annapolis is a laid back port town that knows a thing or two about fitness. On any given day you can find people running, biking, rowing, sailing or just walking down its historical streets.

But what does a traveler do if they want to get in on the action yet happen to forget their fitness gear or simply chose not to pack it? With more travelers these days trending towards "packing light" as a result of more airline restrictions, it's a common occurrence to leave this extra at home. However, the Westin has travelers covered.
Partnering with New Balance, the Westin offers guests a chance to stay on course and rent apparel and shoes for a nominal fee of just $5.00. The Westin Annapolis says the program is very popular among its guests. Socks are brand new for each guest. When asked about quality control for the apparel and sneakers, a representative offered that the hotel "makes sure items are thoroughly cleaned."
The Westin makes it easy for guests to borrow and return items. All a guest has to do is dial the front desk and the needed items will be delivered to the room. Once they're finished, they just leave the rented gear in their rooms in the provided carryall. Kudos to the Westin for providing options to their guests, however, for those who'd rather use their own, there's plenty of nearby shopping to get you what you need.
