[PHOTO_109396] Dim lights, lounge chairs, chic furnishings, and a laid-back crowd might be exactly what you need to transform your visit to Baltimore from good to great. And if you’re the type that likes to keep the night moving with variety and a change in scenery, club-hopping may be right up your alley. So where can you find two to three spots to eat, lounge, drink, party or all the above? Head over to Mt. Vernon for a night at Red Maple, the 13th Floor, and Eden’s Lounge. All three of these hip spots are within walking distance from each other and set the tone for nightlife in the Mt. Vernon area.
When you start your night off at the 13th floor, located in the historic Belvedere hotel, you visually take in all that Baltimore has to offer. This club offers one of the best panoramic and breathtaking views of the city - either at the bar or at a table for two. One of the least expensive clubs in Baltimore, the 13th floor doesn’t charge a cover until after 8:30pm, leaving you with more money to spend for happy hour. If you’re looking to party with their DJ, Friday or Saturday nights are the days you’d want to stop by but beware, the dance floor is fairly small and the space can get crowded pretty quickly.

When you start feeling a little claustrophobic at the 13th floor or just need a change in scenery, Eden’s Lounge should be your next stop. Just 3 blocks away from each other, the two couldn’t be any more different. Eden’s Lounge is more lounge than nightclub and is known for having one of the best happy hours in Baltimore. From 6pm - 9pm, they offer two-for-one cocktails and reduced priced Ethiopian-influenced dishes. Tuesdays and Thursdays feature live music during happy hour while on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, you’ll find DJs managing the music.
If you stroll around the corner, you’ll not only encounter a different set of DJs but also a completely different lounge scene. Chic, hip, modern, laid-back, and cool are just a few adjectives to explain Red Maple’s mixed-use space. Part restaurant, part bar, part club, Red Maple has it all.
Complete with an open air courtyard, this trendy spot is a great choice for dancing, grabbing Asian-infused tapas or just lounging around. Its long rectangular set-up is just one of the many features that make this place unique. The clean, modern decor, low seating and lighting, and picturesque fireplace all help to set the vibe. However, don’t be fooled - you won’t find poetry or low energy in here. Resident and guest DJs spin an eclectic mix of house music at decibels that may be illegal in some countries.
Be sure to check all three establishment’s websites for guest list information and for free or reduced price admission.
