"Chef Wanted" at Boston's Met Back Bay

Anne Burrell helps Met Back Bay find an executive chef

Met Back Bay — Photo courtesy of theCSSdivFans of the Food Network must stop into Boston's Newbury Street hot spot, Met Back Bay. Creative home cooks who are always seeking something new to feed friends and family may have come across Chef Anne Burell's show, Chef Wanted. Met Back Bay was the recipient of Anne's expert services when they were seeking a new Executive Chef. Although the competition was fierce on this hour-long profile, by the show's conclusion, the restaurant owner was able to hire a chef who has elevated their already enticing menu thus making Met Back Bay even better!

Met Back Bay is part of a chain of "Met" restaurants that began in Chestnut Hill and has spread throughout the Boston suburbs in various forms. The Newbury Street spot features street-side seating (perfect for people-watching) and various sections that span multiple floors, each with its own character. Famous for burgers that are prepped to perfection, and a variety of toppings that allow you to customize your ideal bite, you should stray from your typical selection and try something a little beyond the basics. Aside from their burgers, Met Back Bay has a decent-sized menu of salads, entrees and appetizers that are equally as enjoyable.  Wisely, Met Back Bay serves three meals a day to cater to the crowds that start or end their day in the Back Bay. Each menu is impressively prepared for your enjoyment.

Locals already held a high opinion of Met Back Bay, and upon returning after the chef change, they've noted that a place they thought was already pretty good had gotten even better!
