There's a reason why Charlestown's Warren Tavern has been around forever and it's not its historical roots (although those run REALLY deep). It's the ambiance that sets it apart from other area bars. Smaller scale rooms with period decor that have been well-maintained to ensure a comfortable atmosphere in modern times, make this place pop. Add to that some really good food, a vibrant bar scene and live music, and Warren Tavern is rocking every night of the week.

Once the watering hole of American Patriots like George Washington and Paul Revere, the Warren Tavern remains alive, and happening. Stop in on a Wednesday night and maybe you'll meet your mate. This is the night to see and be seen. More professional locals (yuppies if you ask a Townie) make their way to this bar on Wednesday than any other night of the week, and they are happy to help you feel at home while hanging at the bar, listening to music and enjoying a cocktail or two.
But before you order that drink, find yourself a table and fill yourself with their food, because if you skip a meal here you'll be missing out. Personal favorites include the Tavern Burger, Grilled Sirloin Tips and Monument Chicken Salad, and don't forget to save room to savor their house made chips with a bit of vinegar drizzled on – simply delicious!
