Lower Depths

The Lower Depths is a cool hangout in the Fenway area. It's a beer bar with 17 beers that rotate through their taps. Touting itself as a bar for beer lovers, the lower depths serves no harm alcohol, but does have a selection of wine. Reservations are not taken and Lower Depths is 21 + pre and post Red sox games and after 10pm. Serving $2 hot dogs makes this a popular spot for those who need to eat, but would rather put their funds towards their beer. But skipping the in house made fare means you'd be missing out because their food is made to compliment the beer you're drinking. Dig into an order of the beer cheese dip, Kenmore tater tot platter, haystack salad, mackin' cheese or build your own burger and you'll be happy to have sprung for something a little heartier than the hot dog.
