Generally speaking, there are two types of spa services in Los Cabos.
First, you have the pampering yet pricey treatments offered by onsite spas at the seaside luxury resorts dotting the coastline from Cabo San Lucas to sister city San José del Cabo. Then, you have the less diverse (and sometimes less reputable) services pitched by the small salons that proliferate throughout Cabo San Lucas' more touristy neighborhoods.
The freshly minted Blueberry Spa in downtown Cabo San Lucas, however, is attempting to bridge the gap between the two extremes by offering a generous array of soothing, high-quality spa and beauty salon services at rates within reach of even the most budget-conscious locals and visitors.

“Our goal is to provide the same pampering experience you get in spas at the best luxury resorts,” says Blueberry Spa’s owner, Ignacio “Nacho” Padilla. “But at much more affordable prices, and in a convenient, central location.”
Blueberry Spa delivers on both counts.
The spa’s versatile menu includes one-hour massages all at only $30, with manicures, pedicures, facials and waxing services priced in the $20 to $25 range.
And the location could hardly be more convenient. Set one block off the Land’s End city’s main thoroughfare, Marina Boulevard, Blueberry Spa is within easy walking distance of Marina- and Médano Beach-based resorts, as well as the downtown shopping, dining and nightlife districts.
Brightly decorated yet relaxing massage rooms are available for individual treatments, or for romantic couple's therapies, with atmospheric touches like aromatic candles and abundant imagery showcasing the spa’s signature motif: blueberries. (The trademark indigo-hued berries are also present in the complimentary muffins served after all massages and salon services.)
“I love blueberries,” Padilla says of the spa’s namesake. “They’re colorful, delicious and so jam-packed with vitamins and nutrients that you get this incredible energy burst and sense of wellbeing after you’ve eaten them. That’s the kind of feeling I want people to have after they’ve visited our spa. I want them to feel reinvigorated and completely refreshed.”
Blueberry Spa is the third local business venture for Padilla. The Aguascalientes-born entrepreneur also owns popular locals’ bar Baja María – home to Villamelón-style tacos, ice-cold Victoria beer and the area’s most competitive dominoes games – and co-owns the upscale transportation company The Baja Club, which provides private, chauffeur-driven services and guided excursions on both land and sea.
Blueberry Spa welcomes walk-ins Monday through Saturday, with appointments available via advance reservations on Sunday.
