There is a bar like it in every town. It's a place where the locals gather, not only for a beer after work, but to catch up on all the latest news and gossip. It's where everyone goes to watch the big games, or the latest title fight. It's where transplants and ex-pats congregate for holiday dinners and birthday celebrations. In the movies, it was Rick's. On television, it was Cheers. In Cabo San Lucas, it's the Cabo Lounge.

On any given day, visitors to the bar may encounter dolphin trainers, fishermen, dive masters, timeshare salesmen, jewelers, masseuses, writers, and musicians, as well as a fair number of folks whose first name seems to be Captain. In short, a fairly representative sampling of the local population. Live music is offered several times a week, and generally draws the biggest crowds, although football and hockey games are also popular.
Budget friendly prices are also a staple of the Cabo Lounge, with cheap beers and a $1 menu that includes hamburgers, pizzas, corn dogs, and chicken wings. Internet access and phone calls to the U.S. and Canada are available with the purchase of a drink, and complimentary tequila shots are offered when you pay your tab.
