In a city like Cabo San Lucas, known for its lively nightlife scene, competition is fierce among bars and restaurants, each trying to outdo the other with better drink specials, pub food, live bands and rowdy late night crowds. For the last several years, there has been little fresh blood among the top nightclubs. Cabo Blue, a rebranding of the former Blue Jungle, bucked this trend last year when they reopened under new ownership, immediately becoming one of the most popular local party stops.

What's the secret? It's hard to pinpoint a single aspect, as improvements and upgrades have been made across the board. The music at the bar is outstanding. Owners Scott and Amanda Osborne have enough songs in their library to go six months without a repeat, and live bands frequently perform late night, whipping the crowds into a frenzy. But, perhaps the most impressive thing about Cabo Blue is the way they have tapped into the social aspect of the local party scene. It’s something they do better than any other bar or club in Los Cabos, and one of the reasons they get such consistently good crowds.
The owners and bartenders are constantly taking pictures of the clientele, which are quickly uploaded through Facebook, and then looped onto television screens above the bar. It definitely adds another level to the experience, and posing for pictures seems both to loosen the inhibitions of patrons, and also make the night out feel more like an event.
Beyond the contemporary social media aspect, Cabo Blue also has quality food and drinks at extremely friendly prices, a big reason they've become popular with tourists and locals alike. Daily specials, like $1 fish tacos on Fridays, are a big draw as well.
