In México, chilaquiles (tortilla strips with beans, chile sauce, eggs, and cheese) are considered a hangover cure, and Lolita's has some of the best in Cabo San Lucas. The huevos rancheros are excellent here as well, and lunchtime visitors will want to sample the birria, a traditional stew with its own healing properties. Lolita's is located just off the downtown loop near the elementary school, and is the kind of place you can't walk by without wanting to go in. Perhaps it's the charming décor, with wooden furnishings, bright paint, the deer hunting mural with the stuffed deer head underneath the display of liquor bottles, or the retro jazz that often plays in the background. This is one of the oldest restaurants in town, and an excellent off-the-beaten-path option for those seeking local color and cuisine.
