Each March in Cancun and the Riviera Maya, visitors and residents enjoy incredible cuisine and wine during the Cancun-Riviera Maya Wine & Food Festival. This year, the festival will take place March 12 -16, 2014. The theme is "Europe Meets the Americas," and the festival will specifically celebrate France.
The CRM Fest brings together top chefs and sommeliers, the best wine cellars in the world and celebrities for food and wine lovers. This year’s celebrity star chefs are Chef Daniel Boulud from France and Chef Guillermo González Beristáin from Mexico.
They are joined by 50 acclaimed chefs from Canada, the United States, United Kingdom, Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Guatemala, Peru and Venezuela. All will participate in the spectacular opening dinner, "Taste the New World: Star Chefs of the Americas."

In addition, recognized sommeliers and enologists from around the world will hold tastings of some of the best wines from the Americas, Europe and Mexico. Mezcal - a distilled alcoholic beverage made from the maguey plant - and spirits tastings will be offered as well.
“Our festival is the only one that showcases to the world what the entire Americas’ continent has to offer. Great culinary talents, crafted dishes, unique ingredients, perfect pairings, live music and magical ocean-front venues, this continent’s celebration is the essence of this festival,” comments David Amar, founder of the Wine & Food Festival Cancun-Riviera Maya, and his partner Daniel Assouline.
