Xcaret is an eco-archeological park located just south of Playa del Carmen, about an hour’s drive from Cancun. Visiting Xcaret is an adventure in Mexican culture, history, nature and food.
You may believe your day has come to an end after you have visited the sea turtles, sharks and jellyfish at the aquarium, swum the underground river, eaten delicious traditional Mexican food, seen the equestrian show, stopped by the church, strolled through the butterfly pavilion, lounged on a hammock in the lagoon area, wandered through the Mayan village and greeted the monkeys and jaguars, but one last wonderful experience awaits you: the Xcaret Mexico Espectacular Night Show.
As you stroll the path to the the awe-inspiring stadium theater, you’ll be greeted by Mayan warriors, maidens, guards and musicians. Make sure to get your picture taken with them! The show begins at 6 pm everyday. It's best to be seated by 5:30 - 5:40 pm in order to get the best seats and avoid the last minute rush.

Xcaret Mexico Espectacular takes you on a lively trip through Mexican music and dance. The cast consists of almost 300 actors, singers, dancers and musicians. You won’t be able to resist cheering during the ancient Mayan ball games, and you may feel a bit sad when you witness the Spanish conquest.
However, soon you’ll be clapping to the cheerful sounds of music from different regions of Mexico. The colorful costumes represent different cities and states, and the traditional dances are executed with great skill. Delightful surprises abound throughout the show.
Your day at Xcaret is one you won't soon forget, and the Mexico Espectacular is the perfect way to end it.
