Everyone likes to go out for at least a few fancy dinners when they’re on vacation. But it’s also nice to know where to go for delicious food at economical prices. Inexpensive restaurants Padrino’s Pizza Express and Sushi Hero, located in Plaza Quetzal at kilometer 8 in Cancun’s hotel zone (where Ty-Coz used to be), are a superb option for a casual but scrumptious lunch or dinner.

These two restaurants share an outdoor seating area. When you arrive, you’ll be asked if you want the Padrino’s or Sushi Hero menu. It all depends on what you’re in the mood for. Both restaurants serve equally delicious food, just like their sister restaurant Surfin' Burrito. Everyone at your table does not need to order from the same menu.

Highlights include the seafood pizza from Padrino’s, where they use a coal-fired oven. They also serve pasta, paninis and other Italian dishes. Sushi Hero’s menu includes sushi, sashimi, bento box combos, international salads, teppanyaki, thai dishes, whole wheat rice options and healthy daily specials. Wash your sushi down with sake. Beer, wine and mixed drinks are available as well.
Expect hot, flavorful food and friendly, efficient service at an affordable price. They even offer free WiFi. For these reasons, you’ll probably visit Padrino’s and Sushi Hero more than once during your Cancun vacation.
