If you want to shop for Mexican souvenirs, but you don’t like to haggle, head for Plaza La Fiesta. Located in Cancun's Hotel Zone on the lagoon directly across the street from the Convention Center, this expansive space of 20,000 square feet houses more than 100,000 different Mexican products including handicrafts, jewelry, clothing, tequila, leather goods, souvenirs, vanilla, spices, coffee and swimwear, just to name a few.
The best thing about Plaza la Fiesta: no dickering. The prices are all clearly marked on the merchandise. In addition, you don’t have to run all over town searching for that coveted item; they literally have anything and everything you are looking for. Oh, and unlike the open air markets, it’s air-conditioned!
If you are looking for something in particular, don’t hesitate to ask the non-pushy sales staff; they know their stuff. If you purchase pottery or something else that’s breakable, the cashier will wrap it nicely for you so that it will be easy to pack for your return flight.
If you ride the bus at any point during your vacation, check the back of your ticket, and you may find a Plaza La Fiesta coupon. There are smaller versions in Forum by the Sea, La Isla, Plaza Flamingo and Plaza Kulkukan, but the Party Center location is the best place to go for one-stop souvenir shopping.
