You know a place favors great drinks when there's an 8-page menu with dozens of draught and bottled beers as well as West Coast and imported wines, and a massive selection of specialty cocktails. During weekend brunch Bloody Marys, mimosas and brunch punch are also mixed and served table-side. Service is friendly and well-paced and there's some of the best patio seating on the Country Club Plaza. Inside, casually elegant décor includes plenty of light-hued natural wood and other rustic elements. Delicious food includes inventive shrimp and grits with avocado gravy, lamb t-bone with onions, and fall-off-the-bone Asian Pig Wings. Available at the inside/outside bar, the short Happy Hour menu includes decadent French onion dumplings, with gruyere, house-made brioche and onion jus and two other 'bites,' alongside select $5 cocktails, well drinks and wines, or $3 draught beers. Make reservations to experience one of this neighborhood's favorite watering holes.
- Bars: "Enjoy a leisurely Saturday brunch here until 3:30. Egg dishes include house-corned pork loin hash or B.N.B. – with a buttermilk biscuit, breakfast potato and wild boar chorizo gravy. Order a hefty sandwich or Burnt End Mac & Cheese and, of course a specialty cocktail."
- Best for Bars Because: Casual elegance, plus great food and drink make this bistro a favorite watering hole in the Country Club Plaza neighborhood.
