Step back to the 1930s and 1940s amid elegant surroundings, when you dine at Pierpont's Union Station, named for legendary railroad man, John Pierpont Morgan. From the high ceilings, to the 30-foot-tall antique mahogany bar Pierpont's is the epitome of 'old school' elegance. But food remains the big draw to this steakhouse, from steaks and lamb chops to trout almondine and cioppini. Walnut and pear salad and lobster tails get high marks too. Add a signature steak enhancement for a small up-charge, from coffee and ancho chili rub to blue crab or béarnaise sauce. Garlic whipped potatoes, farro risotto or Swiss chard are several a la carte sides. Appetizers priced from $10 feature mussels, calamari, rabbit, and crab. Attentive service that moves quickly, top shelf liquor, and a large wine list with a variety of price points are other attractions. Absorb the splendor of another time as you enjoy your meal.
