Block9 Thai Street Eats is located in an unassuming shopping center just off the 215 freeway in the western part of Las Vegas, but don't let that fool you into thinking it's bland, suburbanized Thai food. Instead, it's the latest creation of Chef Nittaya Parawong, known for Nittaya's Secret Kitchen, which has a bit of a cult following among Vegas foodies. Block9 is a casual eatery with big flavors. The menu here was inspired by the chef's native city, Bangkok, where the freshest food comes from street vendors. Delectable dishes include Thai BBQ Pork, Basil Chicken, curry (red, yellow and green), Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles. The atmosphere is fast-food style, making it a great place to stop for a quick meal if you've been out exploring Red Rock Canyon or other outdoor attractions in this area.
- Best Restaurants for Spring: "Block9 is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., but is closed on Sunday. If you're planning on stopping in, keep that in mind."
