Throughout most of the year, club-goers in Las Vegas generally party at night and sleep during the day. But during the summer, the nightclub atmosphere Sin City is synonymous with transcends into DAYLIGHT. DAYLIGHT Beach Club at Mandalay Bay — Photo courtesy of Light Group
Thanks to the increasing number of pool clubs that have opened in recent years, Las Vegas' daylife scene now rivals its nightlife scene during the summer months, offering guests a chance to let loose and dance the day away. However, the Strip’s newest pool club takes the decadent daylife experience even one step further.
“DAYLIGHT is the first pool club on the Strip that was specifically designed as a music venue,” said Nick Gold, creative director for The Light Group. “While other pool clubs were originally created as hotel pools and then retrofitted as pool clubs, we designed every aspect of DAYLIGHT to house the world’s best EDM artists.”
That includes a 1,500-square-foot elevated stage for the DJs to perform on, surrounded by six huge LED screens that can be seen from anywhere in the club.
“DAYLIGHT is a huge space–50,000 square feet–so it was really important to us that everyone in the entire club, from the people in the pool to guests in the private cabanas, would be able to see and enjoy the show,” Gold stated.
And what a show it is. DAYLIGHT boasts an impressive resident DJ roster that includes huge artists like Sebastian Ingrosso and Axwell alongside rising stars like Krewella and Baauer. Not surprisingly, it has already welcomed several celebrity guests to its private cabanas despite only being open since Memorial Day Weekend, including Jason Statham, Paris Hilton and Kevin Hart.
DAYLIGHT Beach Club, located at Mandalay Bay, is open Thur.-Mon. from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 p.m.-3 a.m. for its nighttime concert series ECLIPSE. For more information, visit daylightvegas.com.
