Las Vegas North Premium Outlets Adds New and Exclusive Shops

Popular downtown outlet center expands with 33 stores and eateries

Las Vegas shoppers looking for a bargain can easily shop ’til they drop now at the Las Vegas North Premium Outlets.

The popular outlet center recently unveiled a 150,000-square-foot expansion that brings 33 new and expanded stores and eateries to the downtown property.

Now home to more than 175 brands that offer anywhere from 25 to 65 percent off regular retail prices, the 685,000-square-foot, open-air shopping center opened the expansion to the public in spring 2015.

Located on the north side of the property, the expansion was a part of the approximate $1 billion that Simon Premium Outlets promised in 2014 it would invest each year in redeveloping projects across some of its most popular high-quality centers to further enhance the shopping environment.

“The local community and international shoppers have shared an appetite for more retailers, including designer and name brands alike,” says Rajeev K. Chhabra, general manager for Las Vegas North Premium Outlets. “The expansion not only brings a new set of world-renowned retailers to the popular shopping destination, but also provides amenities and updates to the property to better accommodate the mix of shoppers.”

New retail additions include such familiar names as Vera Bradley, Neiman Marcus Last Call Studio, John Varvatos and Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH, as well as Las Vegas’ first FURLA outlet. The 1,500-square-foot boutique marks the Italian company’s first Las Vegas store, with the next closest outlet being at the Desert Hills Premium Outlets in Cabazon, Calif.

Shoppers can save between 40 and 60 percent at the Las Vegas location, which carries a selection of elegant FURLA handbags, wallets and accessories. Inventory can change on a weekly basis, so shoppers should check back frequently to see what deals they can find.

Other exclusive tenants include the West Coast’s first Burton Snowboards, Dunhill and Vilebrequin Premium Outlet locations, Helmut Lang’s first standalone store in the market and the first-ever Pandora in a value setting.

Additionally, the expansion marks the opening of the outlet center’s first full-service, sit-down restaurant: The Cheesecake Factory.

In addition to new retailers, several existing tenants have moved into larger storefronts in the newly expanded area, including Burberry, Tory Burch, Dolce & Gabbana, Armani Outlet and Theory. Lacoste is scheduled to relocate later this summer.

To accommodate the expected increase in traffic, a 782-space parking garage expansion was completed in February that provides shoppers with additional parking options beyond the original garage. Both garages now feature Park Assist, too, a technology that helps shoppers know the number and location of available spaces.

Other recent changes at Las Vegas North Premium Outlets include a new pedestrian bridge that links the parking garage to the retail center and new elevators and escalators to enhance accessibility throughout the retail destination.

“It is important for Simon and Las Vegas North Premium Outlets to constantly evaluate the ongoing needs of our customers and design an enhanced shopping experience that meets the demands, needs and wants of our customers and the community,” Chhabra says.

Up next for the Las Vegas North Premium Outlets is a Chipotle that’s slated to open near the main entrance in late summer, as well as a Starbucks kiosk and North Face store scheduled to open in fall 2015. Francesca’s Collections is also set to join the upscale outlet center’s list of tenants soon.

Las Vegas North Premium Outlets is conveniently located just minutes from the Strip, directly off I-15 at Charleston Boulevard or two miles north of the Stratosphere Casino, Hotel & Tower. For those traveling by cab, there's a designated taxi drop-off area and queue line conveniently located on property.
