The Tropicana recently underwent extensive renovations, but they're obviously not done yet with new features. RPM, the Trop's new nightclub, opened on New Year's Eve 2012 with Mary J. Blige on hand. You'll find the features expected of any Las Vegas nightclub: bottle service, great music, and frequent special events with celebrities.

Open on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, RPM wants to create a interactive nightclub experience. Located in the space Club Nikki formerly occupied, RPM upgraded the existing lighting and visual effects and added party booths. While many Vegas clubs go for a dark interior tone, RPM has brightened up the ambiance with a sleek design incorporating lighter colors.
The Tropicana's remodeling has been a success so far, bringing a crisp new South Beach flavor to the vintage Las Vegas hotel casino. RPM is a departure from the Miami influence found throughout the property, but it's proof that the Trop isn't afraid to keep reinventing itself to stay current and fresh.
Opening on the same night as new clubs at the Bellagio and Mirage, RPM joins a busy Las Vegas nightclub scene. It can be tough to choose where to dance and hang out for the evening. If you're in the mood for a newer, less crowded club, RPM may be what you're looking for.
Expert's Update: RPM closed at the end of March 2012. A new nightclub is in the works for the space.
