With the popularity of cell phones, watches might seem like a thing of the past - unless, of course, you have a luxury timepiece from one of the world’s finest watchmakers. Shoppers searching for such a timeless timepiece needn’t look any further than the newly expanded Tourbillon boutique that opened last September inside The Shops at Crystals in Las Vegas.
This is the largest and most impressive store to date within the Boutique Tourbillon global network. Shoppers can expect to find collections from some of the most prestigious names in watchmaking - including Breguet, Blancpain, Glashütte Original, Jaquet Droz and Omega - as well as a selection of exclusive watches from the Swatch brand.
“For Las Vegas, we wanted something special: a unique shop-in-shop concept of mini boutiques enhancing the individuality and engagement of each brand,” states Gael Vallade, head of retail and general manager for Tourbillon. “We offer our guests a personal and intimate journey through the watchmaking world from one universe to the other.”

The Las Vegas store offers an “exquisite selection” of watches for both ladies and gentlemen. Each client is guided by Tourbillon’s well-trained sales staff in choosing a timepiece that’s perfectly suited for his or her personality and lifestyle.
“A timepiece doesn’t only show time; it is the representation of perfection, precision, skill and passion,” Vallade notes. “Every year, watchmakers continue to surprise us with new creations. Just take, for example, the Tourbillon movement from Breguet, created in 1801. Just imagine you have two centuries of history on your wrist!”
Another one of the boutique’s more unique items is a timepiece created by Jaquet Droz.
“This timepiece is hand painted on an enamel dial by the manufacturer’s master painter and the design is of a brown bear,” Vallade states. “When looking closely at the dial, one would not be able to tell that each hair was hand painted one by one to reflect the real fur of the animal. It’s an incredible masterpiece that is limited to just eight pieces worldwide.”

In addition to its priceless timepieces, Tourbillon offers a selection of jewelry for men and women, as well as diverse accessories such as writing instruments from Blancpain and Breguet, with special tributes to such great writers as Honoré de Balzac, Stendhal and Alexander Pushkin.
Guests can also bring in their timepieces to be serviced, where they will be sent to the nearest Swatch Group service center to ensure they’re given the proper care they deserve. Shipping is available to anywhere in the world. But Vallade notes that guests usually prefer to take their timepieces with them, as “they are eager to start enjoying their purchase.”
“We offer the best possible guidance and education, personalization of a unique timepiece, the most direct after-sales service and the highest guarantee of product quality,” Vallade concludes. “One can easily understand that spending a few moments in one of our boutiques is about experiencing an emotion, a rare minute - a Tourbillon moment.”
Tourbillon is located on The Shops at Crystals’ second level. It is open Sunday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Friday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to midnight. For more information, call 702-590-9299.
