Located in the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas, Vesper Bar blends contemporary sophistication with an elegance of decades past. "Vesper" was the name of a female character in the first James Bond novel, and the drink menu here is full of choices worthy of any international, jet-setting spy. Two styles of drinks are on the menu: Classic and Vesper Interpretations. Classic is self-explanatory while the Vesper puts a modern twist on favorites. If you've never heard of an El Diablo (reposado tequila, creme de cassis, lime and ginger beer), this is the place to get acquainted with this and other cocktails from bygone eras. Or perhaps the Raising Hell--El Diablo's updated, younger cousin--sounds better than the original, with its mix of tequila, mezcal, tart apple liqueur, citrus, spiced raisin syrup and apple soda. Signature drink selections are rotated, so you can try new creations on a regular basis.
- Hotel Bars: "Vesper is in a location that's easy to access, close to the main entrance and hotel registration for The Cosmopolitan. If you're meeting someone, it's quite easy to find."
- Best for Hotel Bars Because: The stylish Vesper Bar at the Cosmopolitan resurrects forgotten cocktail recipes and gives them a new twist.
