Las Vegas is more than a city full of casinos. It’s also home to a plethora of adventure experiences that you don’t find in many other places. Ever wanted to drive an off-road racing truck? Or perhaps shoot a machine gun? In Las Vegas, you can enjoy an entire day full of adventures like these.
You can cruise the Internet to find a wealth of Las Vegas adventures, from zip lines to helicopter tours, but perhaps the easiest way to sort through the offerings is to use a tour company. You can then concentrate on enjoying yourself instead of worrying about transportation, ticket confirmations, or lunch. Locally-based Galavantier, for instance, partners with businesses throughout Southern Nevada to offer a wide range of full-day experiences, like this one:
First Up: Transportation
You want to travel in style, and that means a limousine. 24-7 Limousines can take you to your destination in a stretch Hummer fully equipped with a wet bar, an assortment of party lights, a stereo, and TVs. Once you've taken a seat, you won’t have to worry about fiddling with your GPS or navigating traffic. Just sit back and enjoy the ride.

Start Your Engines
If you can drive, you can enjoy the thrill of driving an off-road vehicle. At VORE (Vegas Off Road Experience), you’ll get some instructions and a helmet before being introduced to one of their specially outfitted vehicles. If you’re driving one of their Ford Raptors, don’t look for the door–you’ll have to climb inside. Once you’re strapped in and ready for action, the staff will communicate with you via radio. On VORE’s race track, you can slide around corners and fly over the desert terrain, once you get brave enough to give it some gas.Ford Raptor at Vegas Off-Road Experience (VORE) — Photo courtesy of Terrisa Meeks
Really Big Guns
For your next shot of adrenaline, the Pro Gun Club can help you learn how to fire guns, and not just any old ordinary guns. Test out your aim with a shotgun on some clay pigeons, or learn how to use a machine gun. The instructors are helpful and patient, so even if you’ve never fired a weapon before, you'll soon be safely blasting away with their expert guidance. You can even fire a .50 caliber sniper rifle, but be forewarned: it makes one heck of a loud noise that will make your whole body vibrate.Firing shotguns at Pro Gun Club — Photo courtesy of Terrisa Meeks
What About Lunch?
If you’ve had a tour company help you plan your day, lunch will probably be taken care of. If you’ve put your adventure itinerary together yourself, be sure to stop for something to eat. Both VORE and the Pro Gun Club are just outside Boulder City, where you can make a stop in the Historic District for lunch. All that adventuring works up an appetite.
Back to the Hotel
Now that you’ve mastered off-road driving and heavy weaponry, it’s time to head back to the hotel. Don’t make too many plans for the evening. Once the adrenaline wears off, the only thing you’ll want to do is get a good night’s sleep.
