Mordeo's sleek, modern space invites you to sit down and have a drink and something delicious to eat. The food has an international pedigree, taking inspiration from Spanish, Latin and Japanese cuisines. Guest can enjoy wine, sake and beer--and as much care has been taken with those selections as with the food. Start off with a meat and cheese board, or something from the raw bar, like the Lomi Lomi Ocean Trout with red and green onions, lemon zest, tomatoes, sesame chili oil and a rice wafer, or perhaps some fresh Shigoku oysters with mignonette, Fresno chili peppers, micro cilantro and lemon. Plates for sharing include grilled Spanish octopus, grilled deboned branzino or Clams and Mussels con Chorizo, clams, mussels and chorizo with a white wine Sriracha broth. The dishes here are inventive, beautiful and, most importantly, delightfully tasty.
- New and Popular Restaurants: "Mordeo has a social hour Sunday through Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. Enjoy their small bites (called Pintxos), the house-made white or red sangria or deals on wine by the glass."
- Best for New and Popular Restaurants Because: Mordeo is known for its artfully crafted food, inviting interior and a notable selection of wine, sake and beer.
