10 Best Downtown Reno Hotels and Inns for Gaming (or Not)

These 10Best hotels are located right in the heart of downtown Reno and are close to the gaming, restaurants, the Arts District and the Truckee River. Most of these hotels are also casino resorts, but a few new hotels are non-gaming alternatives. These include the Whitney Peak and the new Siena Hotel and Spa. The Whitney Peak has become famous for its outdoor climbing wall – the tallest in the world.

However, if you want all amenities in one place, the Big Three of the Eldorado, Silver Legacy and Circus Circus have great restaurants, hotel spas and pools, casinos and bars and special events. Hotels like the Peppermill and the Atlantis are closer to the Reno-Tahoe Airport and the Reno-Sparks Convention Center, but are still only 10 minutes from downtown. All the hotel rooms have great views of the surrounding mountains as well as downtown and the rest of the city.

All these hotels are close to the downtown special events, bars and restaurants, winter skating rink and the summer events of Artown. Many hotels also offer special events and room packages. Most of these hotels also offer airport shuttles and access to buses that visit all of Reno and the Lake Tahoe area.
