This historic hot springs is located down the Mount Rose Highway near Reno and is only a half-hour drive from Lake Tahoe. This landmark is a Nevada state registered landmark and the only operating geothermal springs in Reno. Steamboat offers many preventative wellness therapies utilizing the mineral-rich water that flows from under the desert. The spa is housed in a Mission style building and is relaxing and calm.
In addition to hot and cool geothermal hydrotherapy offered in private and communal mineral tubs and steam room, the spa offers therapeutic massages, detoxifying mud wraps, salt and sugar scrubs, Reiki and facials. They are on the cutting edge with vibrational therapeutics, full spectrum light therapy, sound table therapy, and energetic healing. They also provide naturopathic physician services, special events facilities, guest accommodations, and a variety of classes, courses and seminars. The professional massage therapists are amazing and offer wonderful therapies in calm rooms surrounded by the sound of music and water. They encourage that you take a mineral tub first before your massage.
Prices for services range from $15 for a tub to $125 for a two hour massage. A hot stone massage is $90 for one hour and the signature massage is $80 for one hour. Affordable day packages like the Relaxation Spa Day are available for around $100 and include the Sound Table Therapy service, an aroma mineral bath and an aromatherapy massage.
