Bespoke features local Tahoe artists — Photo courtesy of BespokeIf you're shopping in the historic downtown area of Truckee, be sure to stop by Bespoke, a boutique with unusual and fun gifts and decor that celebrate the artistry of the area while embracing vintage style. The Tahoe area shop is owned by Heather River, a San Francisco clothing designer and serial boutique owner who now works with local and regional artists like Nevada State Apothecary to fill Bespoke with fun and vibrant clothes, arts, crafts, prints and vintage items for the kitchen and bath.
She calls Bespoke a "new shop with an old soul." One of the best things about the store is that the items are affordable.

The shopping experience at Bespoke is unusual in that the shop looks more like a gallery than a store, and once you get reeled in by some handmade pottery or the wall filled with a printed gallery of the flora and fauna of each state in the United States, you'll spend an hour or so going over each item trying to decide what to buy. We suggest getting some of the wonderful letterpress prints by Dutch Door Press or jewelry by Laurel Hill.

Bespoke also offers fun workshops and classes for small groups or wedding parties on how to make your own stamps or terrariums. The boutique also has regular Ladies Nights and giveaway contests.
