There's a reason for the word "sport" in the the Cedar House Sport Hotel. The beautiful hotel just south of Truckee, and near the Northstar-at-Tahoe ski resort, offers an in-house guide and adventure sport company that has actually been running for about 20 years. Tahoe Trips & Trails offers guests of the Cedar Sport the ultimate ticket to some of the best snow, hiking and multi-sport tours in the Tahoe Area.

These tours can be purchased as a pre-scheduled tour or as a custom package for individuals and small groups. The tours include cross country skiing, local hikes around Tahoe, Death Valley, Yosemite, Mammoth and the California Wine Country, and photography tours of the beautiful area around the lake.

Each tour is led by an experienced and knowledgeable guide who knows the best trails in the area. For those Cedar House guests who can't stand to leave the house without their pooch, the Cedar House also caters to you. Dogs are allowed in the ground-floor rooms, and are welcomed with treats and dog beds.
