Granlibakken is a Norwegian name meaning "a hill sheltered by trees." It's a fitting description, since this family-owned resort consists of 74 wooded acres located at 6,350 feet just above the waters of Lake Tahoe.
The conference center can accommodate groups of 10 to 350, and Tahoe City is just a few minutes away by car or bicycle.
The accommodations include studios, suites and one- to eight-bedroom townhouses – each decorated in a chic mountain style.
The larger townhouses include a living room with sofa and flat-screen TV with DVD player, a fireplace, full kitchen and all kitchen amenities. Smaller rooms like the Standard Suite have a bedroom with adjoining studio with fireplace, kitchen and amenities like a daily buffet breakfast.

The dining options at Granlibakken range from casual outdoor barbecues to themed dinners. The daily dinner buffets include various gourmet dishes from Chef Ron Eber and music from local bands. All resort guests can enjoy a buffet breakfast based on the season and local ingredients.
Throughout the day, the Gran Spot offers coffee drinks, beer, wine and cocktails and the Cedar House Pub (open during the ski season) offers fireside dining and a full bar.
