There are not too many places in California or Lake Tahoe where you can get all-you-can-eat sushi (Reno has that distinction), however, Java Sushi in Truckee has broken the tradition and serves several AYCE rolls and pieces of sushi that will appease your raw fish craving.

The main menu contains the Java Sushi Special Treats like the Green Lip Mussels for $9.95 and the Hand Grenades – two large Butterflied Prawns stuffed with smaller bay shrimp and E.J. sauce, Togarashi spice and baked for $8.95. Their lunch specials include the Unagi Yaki for $8.95 which includes six pieces of Unagi with four pieces of avocado and rice and tsume sauce drizzled on top.
The AYCE menu is $19.95 for lunch and $24.95 for dinner and you have to sit at the bar to get the menu and pricing. The AYCE is served with miso soup and includes items such as yellow tail, ccrab maguro, smoked trout and fresh water eel. The hand rolls and maki include the salmon skin, the avocado maki, the Blast with smoked salmon, cream cheese and cucumber, and the Boca with unagi, cucumber, avo and tsume Sauce.
