Mountain Loot is located in historic downtown Truckee near North Lake Tahoe in a cool cabin close to the town's other boutiques, restaurants and hotels. The store is full of vintage, antique and Western items for the home, as well as clothing, furniture, accessories, handmade bags and more.

If you are looking for items that reflect the Tahoe area, then take a look at the Tahoe driftwood coat racks, hat holders and shelves made from wood that has been washed up on the shores of Lake Tahoe. Other fun items include antlers from deer and moose, antique sleds, skis and other winter sport paraphernalia, decorated cowboy boots, lambskin rugs, embroidered pillows and items made from local distressed wood.

If you're a snowboard fan, there are items like wall hangings and shelves made from restructured snowboards that will be a perfect gift for the winter sport lover. The deck of Mountain Loot is also full of items for the garden and any mountain (or suburban) home.
You can find the ubiquitous Tahoe welcome bear, birdhouses made from leftover items like jars and cans as well as large items like wagon wheels, bamboo rocking chairs and Native American-made ladders.

Other items that are inexpensive and more for personal use include handmade wood gloves; hats and scarves made by local artists; and vintage clothing items such as women's hats, dresses and beautiful silk scarves. Some more unusual items offered on consignment are vintage designer jeans in all sizes.
