The Landing Resort & Spa in South Lake Tahoe is the newest hotel on the lake, and the designers and developers opened this five-star resort with a splash. This boutique hotel offers some of the finest accommodations on the lake, as well as luxury services, a lavish spa, a full conference center and a restaurant that serves locally sourced California cuisine with a Greek twist.

The hotel offers 88 luxury rooms that include marble bathrooms with heated toilet seats and heated bathroom floors. The rooms sport 55-inch wall-mounted televisions, Keurig coffee service, luxurious contemporary European furnishings and linens, fireplaces and private decks – most with a view of the lake.
Guests can lounge around on said decks in their plush terry robes.

The rest of the hotel includes the Lakeview Rooftop Deck with a fireplace, the Meeting Room, the Board Room and the Event Pavilion, a 2,400-square-foot heated tent that can seat up to 250 guests. The hotel has an outdoor pool and hot tub, as well as a sauna and steam room, complimentary valet parking, WiFi and a business center.
The Landing also offers complimentary cruiser bikes, so guests can explore the lake on their own. When the snow flies, a ski valet and ski and boot storage are also available.

The hotel's resident restaurant, Jimmy's, is headed by British celebrity chef Maria Elia. She and her staff serve wood-fired Greek seafood and other specialities, including the pulled lamb burger with beetroot tzatziki, feta and watercress on a brioche bun.
The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and changes their menu per the seasonal offerings. Jimmy's bar includes a glass-enclosed wine cellar, featuring 250 labels from around the world.

A stay at The Landing Resort & Spa can be wrapped up with, well, a body wrap. The resort's day spa offers various treatments, including an Olive Oil and Propolis Body Wrap that's followed with a warm coconut milk moisturizing lotion.
Other services include Swedish Massage, Hot Stone Massage and the Mountain Recovery Massage for sports fans. Facials and waxing treatments, as well as spa packages, are available to hotel guests.

Adjacent to The Landing is the famous Edgewood golf course, known best for its celebrity golf tournament and spot on Golf Digest Magazine's "America's Top Golf Courses" list.
The Landing Resort & Spa is not only right in front of one of the most beautiful alpine lakes in the world, but it's also just steps away from Tahoe's hiking and biking trails, ski resorts and the casinos and nightclubs on the Nevada side of the lake, as well as award-winning restaurants and bars.
