Lake Tahoe is so much better when you can bring your best furry friend along. Dogs are allowed on several of the beaches and trails around the Tahoe area and there are also places to stay for pet owners. Here are the 10Best hotels, inns and Bed and Breakfasts in the Tahoe area that will accept your pooch or kitty as another customer.

Two of the most famous is the Cedar House Sport Hotel near Truckee and the cute cottages at Tahoma Meadows B&B. Both of these places to stay also offer special events and activities just for dog owners.
